About Strathclyde University
The University of Strathclyde is a public research university established in 1796. It is situated in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, it is the second-oldest university in Glasgow. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs.
Presently, Strathclyde university is the Scottish University of the year 2020 as named by Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide. It is the only university to receive the University of the year award twice from Times Higher Education.
Strathclyde Postgraduate Research International Scholarship for the 2020/2021 academic year is open for International Students. The scholarship award is for postgraduate, Research program in the field of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics taught at University of Strathclyde. The application deadline for the scholarship is 31st December, 2020.
The University of Strathclyde will provide a scholarship that covers full UK/EU PhD tuition fees for 36 months and a tax-free stipend of £ 15,285 per year for the full four-year duration. International Students applying must be able to provide evidence and pay the difference between the UK Home Fee and the International Fee.
To be considered for the scholarship applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must have achieved a first-class or upper second class honours in a relevant degree, including Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or an equivalent qualification at Masters level.
- Candidates must show high level of motivation to undertake multi-disciplinary research.
